15+ Years of mental health experience

Josh brings over two decades of comprehensive experience in the mental health field, showcasing a robust background in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and human services. His journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from SUNY Potsdam, followed by a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. He furthered his education by graduating from the MGH Institute of Health Professions Masters of Physician Assistant Studies Program in August 2021.

Before transitioning to his role as a psychiatric physician assistant, Josh immersed himself in various mental health settings. He facilitated group therapy sessions within inpatient psychiatry at the University of Vermont Medical Center, provided crucial support on the Addison County / Chittenden County mental health crisis hotline, and managed a shelter for runaway and homeless adolescents. He completed foundational coursework in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy via the Ketamine Research Foundation under the guidance of Phil Wolfson, MD. Additionally, he has undergone training in Compassion Focused Therapy, further enriching his therapeutic toolkit.

Residing in Vermont since 2008, Josh cherishes the balance between his professional and personal life. When he's not providing compassionate care, he enjoys outdoor pursuits like skiing and hiking, as well as spending quality time with his family. Additionally, he occasionally showcases his comedic talents on stage, adding a touch of levity to his multifaceted life.
